Phuket Markets

To better learn the life and customs of Thais and buy souvenirs, fruit or high-quality and inexpensive goods, it is best to go to one of the markets of the island. Despite the opening of modern shopping centers, markets remain a popular place to buy everything you need at reasonable prices. A bonus will be immersion in the local flavor and the ability to make interesting photos on the memory of the trip.

Karon Beach Markets

Between the buildings of the hotels Movenpick and Woraburi on Karon every day from morning until late evening there is a market that offers excellent souvenirs from local craftsmen, high-quality T-shirts, shorts, sneakers and beach paraphernalia. Here you can find products from natural silk and cultured pearls.

A grocery market is open on Wat Karon on Saturdays and Tuesdays. In the afternoon, you can enjoy national cuisine, buy fruit or fish for a picnic.

Useful advice: do not buy in the Thai street markets, precious stones and jewelry. Without the proper skill of their choice, you can become a victim of deceivers and purchase a fake. Such purchases are better to make in large shopping centers and require a certificate for the products.
